TEAM RACING RULES
  • Teams consist of four drivers, with the allowance of one reserve driver per team.

  • Once a driver has registered with a team, they cannot race for any other team for the remainder of the season.

  • Team names should remain the same for the duration of the season.

  • A reserve driver cannot race the Team Finals if they have not taken part in any one of the three rounds.

  • A listing of registered drivers will be kept, so please do not try and flaunt the rules!

Meeting Format - Three points meetings and one final meeting

EACH OF THE THREE POINTS MEETINGS WILL CONSIST OF .....

  • Four rounds of heats, no finals.

  • Two heats per round, with two drivers per team in each heat.

  • Drivers will not be able to change heats.

  • If a team has only three drivers attending the meeting, one driver must go out alone.

  • Points will be awarded for drivers finishing positions in each race, and points are then accumulated for the team.

  • Points are awarded as follows – 5 points for a win;  4 points for 2nd place;  3 points for 3rd place; 2 points for 4th place;  2 points for 5th place; and 1 point for each driver thereafter, provided they have registered laps.  0 laps = 0 points.

  • Accumulated points will be added and at the end of each round the scores will be posted on the board.

  • At the end of the meeting, the scores will be announced and those points held for the start of the next meeting.

  • After three points meetings, the top scoring teams will go into Group A to race for the Championship.  The remaining teams will be split into groups and race for the remaining places downward.

THE FINAL MEETING WILL CONSIST OF.....

  • All points accumulated from the three previous meetings will return to zero for all teams.

  • Four rounds of heats, no final.

  • All four team members race together in the same heat.

  • All four team members must have raced in at least one of the three previous points rounds.

  • Points will be awarded for drivers finishing position in each race, and points accumulated for the team.

  • Points awarded in the first three heats will be as they were in the qualifying rounds, and then double points awarded for heat four.
