RAW MODELS BANGERS, F2 STOCK CARS AND 2L SALOONS
Time once again for Brentwood's annual RAW MODELS meeting, sponsored by myself and Richard Whitting of Raw Models. Sadly, due to family illness, neither myself, nor Richard were able to attend the meeting, but we sent the trophies to the club and left it all in the very capable hands of Midge and the Brentwood Crew.
29 Bangers were in attendance tonight, all with freshly painted Raw Models shells, and the first item on the agenda was the Smart Car Awards. These were selected by Midge, so thank you Midge for such excellent choices. The Junior Smart Car Award went to James Nolan with his excellent Nissan Micra, and the Senior Smart Car Award went to Alison Roggerman with her classic pink Taxi. Great choices, congratulations Alison and James, well deserved.

A couple of great wins there for Sleepy, and how lovely to see Luke and Nicola Want back at the Cow Shed once again! Welcome back you too, seems such a long time since we last see you!
From what I'm told, the heats were pretty brutal, which may account for the large number of drivers who failed to make it to the track for the Final!
Shaye Hunter had a battle on his hands to achieve the win, with Dan Morgan snapping at his rear bumper, but Shaye managed to cross the line in 1st place on splits, leaving Dan having to settle for 2nd place. Congratulations Shaye, RAW MODELS Champion for 2021.
Sleepy came home in 3rd place, four laps behind the winners.
Top Junior was Jaydan Webb, well done lad, a free RAW MODELS shell for you!
Well if the heats were brutal, I'm also told, the Final was sheer carnage! Oh how I wish I was there to see it for myself!

So three straight wins for Shaye Hunter, this lads skill amazes me every time I watch him race. Great racing from Jim Burkett too, with three 2nd placings. Good to see Luke Want out there with the "big boys".

So once again Shaye Hunter completed a full house with a win in the final following his three heat wins. Jim Burkett came home in 2nd place, 2 laps behind Shaye, and Divvy stepped up to take 3rd place. Luke Want finished in 4th, all good experience for one so young and races RC's on a part time basis. Well done all, 80 laps; gruelling! Sadly Brett Osborne and Jordan Webb were unable to make it out for the final.

And in addition to the Bangers and F2's, we also had the 2L Saloons; nine attending, so again, all out together for the heats and the final.

Once again, three straight wind for Shaye Hunter, with some great racing and variation of placings amongst the other drivers. Good show guys!
Another excellent full house for Shaye Hunter, there's just no stopping him, is there? Again, Jim Burkett finished in 2nd place, and great to see Phil Roggerman come home in 3rd. Alan Flack didn't have quite so much luck and sadly completed just 4 laps before retiring from the race.
