Three more club championships to be decided tonight, we have the finals of the incredible Team Bangers, and the final points round for the Drifts and the Reliant Robins, so another exciting evening on the cards!
TEAM BANGERS
GROUP A - these were the three teams that had scored the highest points throughout the previous three rounds, earning their chance to race for the overall Championship. Team Chelmsford were back to defend the title they had won the last two years running, and the home club, The Krankies were in the top three once again. Newly formed in 2019, Cream Team had raced well throughout the previous three rounds and just pipped Team Cheeseburger at the finishing post to take their place in the top group!

ROUND ONE - A great battle ensued in Group A, with our two youngest drivers racing hard for the first win of the evening! Well done to 203 Jack Booker on taking the win from 183 Shaye Hunter on splits! A great start! But tonight was not all about the wins, it was all about overall team scores, so although The Krankies took the first win, Team Chelmsford accrued more points by finishing 2nd, 3rd and 4th. In Group B, it was Team Cheeseburger and Team Cheeseburger B battling for the top slot, with 577 Alfie Lee taking the win on splits from 6 Alfie Jones. 331 Dinky Donovan had a great race too, coming home in 3rd place for Team No Clue, well done Dinky!

ROUND THREE - Halfway through and the scores were looking great, Team Chelmsford had a 5 point lead in Group A, and the two Team Cheeseburger teams were battling well in Group B! Another great win for 183 Shaye Hunter in Group A, with 645 Paul Weedon of the Cream Team coming home in 2nd place and 203 Jack Booker finishing in 3rd for The Krankies. In Group B, 195 Pete Bowley crossed the line to take the win for Team Cheeseburger B, with his fellow team mate, 6 Alfie Jones finishing in 2nd place and 71 Dylan Ellis took 3rd place for Team Cheeseburger.

FINAL ROUND - Into the Final round, and Team Chelmsford were looking comfortable with an 8 point lead over The Krankies, but the Cream Team had closed the gap to just 2 points, were they about to snatch a sneaky 2nd place? In Group B, Team Cheeseburger B now had a 7 point lead over Team Cheeseburger, who in turn held 6 points over Team No Clue, but as we all know, anything can happen in this sport!
A great finish for 205 Koonta in Group A, taking the win for Team Chelmsford. 183 Shaye Hunter, also for Team Chelmsford came home in 2nd place, with 203 Jack Booker crossing the line in 3rd place for The Krankies. 645 Paul Weedon boosted Cream Teams points by finishing in 4th place, and 5th place went to 19 Tubs, also of the Cream Team. 403 Daniel Jordan took 6th place for Team Chelmsford, and Cream Team's 414 Marc Zanders crossed the line in 7th place. 383 Divvy finished in 8th place for The Krankies, with fellow team mate 371 Sean Foley coming home in 9th. 10th place went to 546 Kerry Goldstone of Cream Team, and bringing up the rear for The Krankies was 233 Dave Nash.
In Group B the win went to 71 Dylan Ellis of Team Cheeseburger, with 595 L J Saunders grabbing 2nd place for Team Cheeseburger B. 3rd place went to 195 Pete Bowley of Team Cheeseburger B, and 577 Alfie Lee came home in 4th place for Team Cheeseburger. 186 Nige Palmer crossed the line in 5th place for Team No Clue, whilst 661 Martin Ashworth took 6th place for Team Trouble. 455 Shane Clarke of The Smurfs came home in 7th, with 8th place going to 53 Harry Palmer of Team No Clue. 6 Alfie Jones finished 9th for Team Cheeseburger B, 17 Tracy Donovan finished 10th for Team No Clue, and in 11th place was 59 Tom Greenstreet for Team Cheeseburger. DRIFTS
Also settling their Club Championship today was the 10th scale Drifts. This has been a close competition throughout the year, and as the meeting started tonight, just 5 points separated 203 Jack Booker at the top from 71 Dylan Ellis, so tonight, all eyes were on them! 19 Tubs was sitting in 3rd place, knowing he couldn't catch the top two, and also knowing he couldn't be caught, because although there was only 23 points between him and 22 John Hillyard, John was not racing tonight.
ROUND ONE - A great win in the first round for 71 Dylan Ellis, 7 laps ahead of 203 Jack Booker, with 375 Taylor-Jay Liles coming home in 3rd place. 19 Tubs took 4th place with his brother 166 Dougie Donovan finishing in 5th.
ROUND TWO - Another win for 71 Dylan Ellis, this time 6 laps ahead of 203 Jack Booker, with 375 Taylor-Jay Liles again finishing in 3rd place. 29 Stitch came home in 4th place, a lap ahead of his brother 19 Tubs who took 5th place.

FINAL - So it all came down to the Final, there were now just 2 points separating Jack and Dylan, the tension was mounting and the anticipation was high as they took their places on the grid for the final race! 233 Dave Nash came home in 8th place, with 166 Dougie Donovan finishing in 7th. Having fared so well in the heats, it was a little disappointing to see 375 Taylor-Jay Liles manage just 18 laps to finish in 6th place. 5th place went to 577 Alfie Lee with 32 laps. 29 Stitch and 19 Tubs continued the "family feud" and crossed the line on splits, with 19 Tubs taking 4th place and 29 Stitch just pipping him to the post to finish in 3rd. With 45 laps, 203 Jack Booker came home in 2nd place, but the winner with the full 50 laps was 71 Dylan Ellis. So, was Jack safe, or had Dylan done enough to knock him off his perch?

Well done Jack, enjoy your silver roof for the next year, well-deserved! So it seems the "unstoppable" Dylan Ellis isn't so unstoppable after all! A great championship, bringing it down to the line in the very last race, that's how it should be guys, well-done to all involved, great racing, great entertainment, all throughout the year! The drifts will be back on Saturday 21st December for their WORLD FINAL, now that'll be interesting!
RELIANT ROBINS
Our final Championship decider tonight, was for the ever amusing Reliant Robins. 203 Jack Booker held a very comfortable lead of 118 points over 22 John Hillyard, with 58 Darren Howard sitting in 3rd place with 58 points, 375 Taylor-Jay Liles in 4th place with 52 points and 383 Divvy was in 5th place with 40 points. Obviously 203 Jack Booker had already clinched the Championship, but it was all to play for in the remaining places!
ROUND ONE - First across the line with a commanding lead of 7 laps was 183 Shaye Hunter, last years defending Champion. Crossing the line to claim 2nd place was 383 Divvy, with 203 Jack Booker coming home in 3rd.
ROUND TWO - A terrific race to the finish in round two, with 203 Jack Booker just nipping the win from 183 Shaye Hunter on splits. 375 Taylor-Jay Liles came home to take 3rd place, 3 laps behind them
ROUND THREE - Yet another finish on splits, with 203 Jack Booker again claiming the win from 183 Shaye Hunter on splits, and again 375 Taylor-Jay Liles finished in 3rd place, 5 laps behind the leaders. Great racing in all three rounds, well-done guys!

FINAL - Yet another close run race from our two dominant youngsters, with 183 Shaye Hunter just snatching the win from 203 Jack Booker, again on splits! 375 Taylor-Jay Liles crossed the line 3 laps later to take 3rd place, with 383 Divvy coming home in 4th place. 5th place went to 883 Paul Kenealy, and 829 Alfie Parish finished in 6th place. 661 Martin Ashworth pinched 7th place from 371 Sean Foley on splits, with 662 Midge finishing in 9th place. Another brilliant race, bringing the Reliant Robins Championship to an exciting close, well-done guys, great racing!
