4th January - Vantastic New Year
With the skies threatening snow, we headed to the cowshed for the first meeting of 2025. Not expecting this to be a large meeting, the feeling amongst the team was relaxed somewhat; but not for long! The door kept opening, and the drivers kept arriving, so much so, a third gazebo was hurriedly erected to cope with the demand for pitting space! The place was rammed, but the banter was ever present, and the laughter was resounding. Thank you all for coming despite the weather forecast, and thank you for your patience with the team whilst we organised the meeting and got everyone booked in.
We'd also like to thank Alison Roggerman, Toni Palmer, Harry Roggerman and Ross Mason for stepping up and keeping the shop running in Cheryl Palmer's absence. Get well soon Cheryl.​

Well done to all the heat winners, there was some tough racing taking place, and no win was easy! Once again, Shaye Hunter takes the A Final, 5 laps in front of Julian Poole. Congratulations Shaye, and congratulations to Brandon Turner, one of our top Junior racers, winning the B Final.
Another great display from the 2L Saloons, who will be back at the track on 1st March for the first of their Club Championship points round.
BACK TO BASICS ALLOY BANGERS
We now move on to the introduction of our new formula B2B Alloy Bangers. Just a standard banger chassis with a plain alloy shell, no extras, mounted on body posts, basically, back to basics! There was much anticipation for these bangers, which we are running in conjunction with ASBO raceway, same builds, same rules. A few of the ASBO guys came to support our debut, thank you fellas, and quite a few of our own drivers had decided to give them a try.

Another first for Brentwood RC tonight was a visit from a group of F1 Stock driver, currently touring the country to showcase their favourite formula, tonight was the turn of the Cow Shed. Jim Burkett and Tony Poole (based at Iceni Raceway in Norfolk) race regularly at Brentwood with their Team Bangers, 2L Stock Cars and F2, but with their friends from the National F1 Stocks wanted to show us what the F1 scene was all about.
