SCHOOL'S OUT, LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!

Yes, school holiday time means a Thursday Fun night in the Cow Shed! Twenty Five Bangers, and ten 1300 Stock Cars turned up on a warm, humid evening to enjoy the fun! And what fun we all had! The banter came thick and fast, and the racing was just as much fun too! An initial glitch with the timing system, saw the bangers waiting a while for their first race, till Midge told them, go have some fun, just no results for this one! And that's exactly what they did! They were crashing and bashing, wrecking and racing, and there were so many smiles around I thought we were filming an advert for toothpaste!

Glitch sorted, and the "proper" racing got under way, starting with the 1300 Stock Cars. Three heat wins for 22 John, and then he had the cheek to say his car wasn't fast enough! John threw the gauntlet down to 27 Jamie, who chased hard but just couldn't quite catch John and had to settle for 3rd, 2nd and 2nd. 427 Tommy also chased hard, desperate for a win at Brentwood, but he too had to settle for 2nd, 3rd and 3rd. In heat two, 203 Jack battled with 383 Divvy, with Jack taking the first two wins and Divvy managing to catch him in the 3rd and snatch the win on splits! All out for the Final, and the race was on! 22 John and 203 Jack battled each other for the entire race before John took the win on splits! 383 divvy finished 3rd, with 427 Tommy coming home in 4th. 46 Mark crossed the line in 5th place, and 537 Brad followed to take 6th, with 27 Jamie finishing 7th and 68 Jade coming home in 8th.

Back to the Bangers, and first across the line in heat 1 was 203 Jack, with 383 Divvy taking 2nd place and 27 Jamie finishing 3rd. 339 Abbie came home to take 4th place, and finishing 5th was 734 Jimmy.
Heat two, and we "ramped" up the fun by placing the ramp on the track! A big cheer went up when the kids saw that! Mayhem ensued, with many getting caught on the ramp or being flipped into the centre and getting caught on the inner fence! It took a full five minuted for the race to finish, and snatching the win on splits was 409 Stuart with 38 laps, his first win, and only his 2nd race meeting! Congratulations Stu! Just losing out and having to settle for 2nd place was 203 Jack, with 383 Divvy taking 3rd, also on the same lap! 339 Abbie came home in 4th place, and 5th went to 71 Dylan, with 38 Elle finishing 6th.
To spice it up for heat three, the ramp was removed and chicanes placed along the back straight instead! Again, the race never completed the full 45 laps, it came down to time once again, with 203 Jack managing to complete 23 laps to take the win! The track blockages were consistent, and how anyone got through was beyond me! 222 Riley enjoyed sitting in the gaps, creating more blockage and I've never heard him squeal with delight so much! 203 Jack managed to get round to take 1st place, 22 John finished 2nd, with 71 Dylan coming home in 3rd. Next across the line was 27 Jamie, and 331 Dinky finished in 5th with 383 Divvy taking 6th place.
The All-In final was immediately followed by the DD, and quite a few chose not to race, so parked on the infield until the race was finished. Again, 22 John was first across the line, with 203 Jack close behind on splits to take 2nd place. Third place went to 409 Stuart, with his son 734 Jimmy finishing 4th on the same lap. 76 Matthew crossed the line to take 5th place, 38 Elle finished in 6th, and 997 McKenzie came home in 7th. 339 Abbie finished in 8th, 107 Jordan crossed the line in 9th, and 383 Divvy finished in 10th. The shout went up, and they all rushed from the centre to start the DD. Mayhem and carnage followed, resulting in 331 Dinky taking the Junior win and 50 Ross taking the senior win!

Well done everyone, a great night, and not one left without a smile! That's how it should be!
