JUNIOR BANGER SERIES (Rnd 2), ALLOY BANGERS, ALLY SUPER BANGERS

MOTHERS DAY SPECIAL

Happy Mother's Day!  Back at the Cow Shed once again, this time for the sound of crunching metal with the Alloy Bangers, and also the 2nd round of the Junior Banger Series.  But before all that, we held a Mother's race, for all those long suffering Mums who put up with all this RC dominance!

We had eight Mums taking part in their own special Mother's Day Special, with only two regular racers and two occasional racers; the other four had never raced before in their lives!  We had Sam Townsend (mother of Denny & Peter Townsend), Kerry Nash (Mother of Joey Nash), Tracy Donovan (Mother of Dinky Donovan), Toni Palmer (Mother of Harry Palmer), Cheryl Palmer (Mother of Toni and Grandmother of Harry Palmer), Bati Felli (Mother of Rhydan Akuoko), Cheryl Teece (Mother of Alex Teece), and Tracey Manton (partner of John Hillyard).  There was plenty of cheering for our wonderful Mums and they all enjoyed their race, even if they had no clue what they were doing!  Congratulations to Toni Palmer on taking the win, with Tracey Manton coming home in 2nd place and Sam Townsend finishing 3rd.  What a good laugh!  And how embarrassing for Sam, being beaten by not one, but two non-racers! LOL  Well done girls!

JUNIOR BANGER SERIES

Time once again for the Juniors to take centre stage, with round two of their Junior Banger Series.  Again, split into two groups (school years 1 - 6, in black; and years 7 - 11, in white), all the Juniors raced out together, and then points awarded accordingly after the race.

Three great wins yet again for 183 Shaye, with 203 Jack taking 2nd place each round.  There was also a couple of wins for 53 Harry, with a win and two 2nd places for 103 Luke.  Great racing guys!

A win in the A Final gave 183 Shaye maximum points today, and 331 Dinky took the win for the younger class.  Sadly, after great success in the heats, 53 Harry only managed one lap in the final before breaking down!  Well done boys, all did well, as usual!

The top three points scorers in each class were then presented with their gifts from Mardave, who kindly sponsor this event.

ALLOY BANGERS

Time once again for the metal crunching Alloy Bangers, and yet again our drivers fielded a great array of vehicles; plenty of good humoured banter, and lots of crushing crashes on the track!  If you don't leave Brentwood RC with a smile on your face after one of these meetings, there is definitely something wrong with you!  The Alloy Bangers always generates a lot of laughs and plenty of fun!  A field of 32 drivers created two heats, equally with cheers and rowdy fun all the way!
