RAMP RACING - Ramp Bangers, F2 Stock Cars & Reliant Robins

Tonight was the last of our fun meeting before the serious business of collecting points starts on 5th February. So what better way to have some fun than with the ramp racing! But before I get to the results etc. I want to say a humongous WELL DONE to Midge, Ross and Gary for all their hard work on revamping the track and laying the new carpet; it looks spectacular! Love the colour, love the carpet, love the whole thing! You guys did a fantastic job, brilliant!
So back to the racing, and as always with RAMP RACING BANGERS, there were plenty of laughter tonight! Cars were flying everywhere, giving the marshalls a raging headache, as they tried desperately to keep the cars on the track! Plenty of crashing too, and even a little racing! Two of our Junior Superstars, Luke Poole and Alfie Parish, both had a heat win, along with Nick Parish and Billy Saunders, and there were two heat wins for Darren Howard.
Moving on, and the All-In Final listed 47 drivers! All vying to get over that pesky ramp and round the track. Chaos ensued throughout the whole race, but Jack Booker managed to work his way through and take the win, with Divvy coming a close 2nd and Nick Parish a close 3rd, all finishing on splits! Great fun had by all!

We had some terrific racing tonight from the F2 Stocks, with 12 drivers out on the track together! The general opinion amongst the drivers was the new carpet was brilliant, very grippy, and great to race on! Proving the point, Jim Burkett provided a great show with three heat wins and followed that up by taking the flag for the final too!

Twenty One Reliant Robins graced the new track tonight, and as always there was plenty of banter amongst the drivers. Most drivers sported the Kamtec Robin shell, but tonight Divvy was show casing the new RAW Models Robin Mk3 shell, and Midge was show casing the new DANZA Sign's & Salvage Robin Rialto shell; I'll leave you to ask the guys what they thought of them! There were three heat wins tonight for Jack Booker, Julian Poole took the chequered flag twice, and there was also a win for Darren Howard. Well done guys. The B Final was won by Brett Osborne, and the A Final winner was Jack Booker. Great racing guys (I wonder how the Robins would go over the ramp too?)

As the evening drew to a close, we finished off the fun with the usual DD. As per usual, there was plenty of carnage as wreckage littered the track all around! Last Senior running was Divvy, and the last Junior running, and overall winner was Luke Want. Well done Luke, you did great!
