ALL TRIUMPH BANGERS & DRIFT BANGERS

29th October 2016

Now before I start this weeks report, I have a huge "thank you" to Kelly who provided all the kids with Halloween stickers for their cars.  Having ordered them to decorate Shaye's car, Kelly found there were far too many, so brought them to the club and shared them out.  Your generosity is very much appreciated Kelly, thank you so much.  I had already noted to say thank you to Kelly, however, Leon Sudbury was determined I would not forget, and badgered me all evening, constantly reminding me, so, there you go Leon, no need to sit on me now! lol

Final - Billie and Liam failed to make it to the track, and Bailey managed 10th place.  Coming home in 9th place with 3 laps was Olivia, and Robert managed 11 laps to take 8th place.  Ty completed 16 laps to take 7th place, and Bobby took 6th place with 24 laps.  Dan finished in 5th with 25 laps, and 4th place went to Sonny with 28 laps.  Branden completed 29 laps to take 3rd place, 2nd went to Christian with 32 laps, and collecting maximum points tonight was Shaye, with a final win after his successful heat wins.  Great work Shaye, you really are becoming a force to be reckoned with!  A great show from all the juniors.

Round Two - Another great performance from Daz saw him take the win once again, with Mickey again finishing in 2nd place.  Craig came home in 3rd place, with Darren finishing 4th and Chris coming home in 5th place.  6th place went to bobby, with Dad Martin following him home in 7th, having joined the race late due to mechanical problems.

Heat Two - 43 Dan Barrell, 77 Josh Mackey, 203 Jack Booker, 366 Karl "Simba" MacDowell, 375 Taylor-Jay Liles, 383 Darren "Divvy" Goldberg, and 586 Brian Hall.

Round One - A very close, hard race saw the top 3 drivers finish on splits, with Taylor taking the win over Dan and Brian.  Jack was close behind and clinched 4th place, with Josh coming home in 5th.  Divvy finished in in 6th place, with Simba coming home in 7th.

A Final - 43 Dan Barrell, 58 Darren "Ginge" Howard, 81 Craig Cheverall, 203 Jack Booker, 319 Daz Fuller, 375 Taylor-Jay Liles, 586 Brian Hall, 590 Mickey Galloway.

Taylor-Jay failed to make it to the track for this one, always a shame when a driver has worked so hard to claim a place in the final.  Brian battled with Craig for 6th place, but just lost out on splits, both finishing on 33 laps.  Ginge came home in 5th place, having completed 35 laps, with Jack completing 36 laps to finish in 4th place.  Mickey came across the line in 3rd place having completed 37 laps, with Dan coming home in 2nd on 38 laps.  A flying finish for Daz saw him complete a perfect meeting, crossing the finish line 2 laps ahead of the field!  Good racing from all, as always.

DD - Divvy finished his night off with a nice little win in the DD, with Billie being the last junior running.

So another great meeting comes to an end, and despite the panic over the computer causing a late start, the meeting still finished at a reasonable time, and with the added bonus of the clocks going back an hour, no one was complaining!
