HEARSE & LIMO BANGERS, 2L SALOON STOCKS &
F2 STOCK CARS
So back at the cow shed once again, this time for the big guns, the Hearse and Limo Bangers, plus the final round of the Club Points Championships for the 2L Saloon Stocks and F2 Stock cars. The air outside was cold and biting, but inside, full of banter, excitement, and some excellent looking cars!

JUNIOR BANGERS
As usual, the juniors were the first to grace the track. One young lad, Alex Teece, was more excited than most, he didn't even know he was racing until he arrived at the track! Grandad Alan Flack had kindly built a car for him in advance of his birthday on Tuesday, and when he realised what was going on, was grinning like the Cheshire Cat! Happy birthday for Tuesday Alex, hope you enjoyed your first race meeting! What a lovely Grandad you have!

With just three points meetings left to decide the Club Points Championship 2018, the battle is really heating up, especially between 59 Caitlyn and 53 Harry, and that was more than evident tonight! In round one, Harry just managed to cross the line a fraction ahead of Caitlyn, but just look how close their times were! Caitlyn then put the pedal to the metal, taking the chequered flag for the remaining two heats and the final! Great racing from these two, well done! 898 Alex fared well for his first meeting, achieving 7th, 8th, 10th in the heats and 9th in the final, a great start for his RC racing career! Great racing too from all our juniors, and plenty of laughter, which is what it's all about!
Check out the points page to see their current standings.
SENIOR BANGERS
Two banger heats tonight, as we had 34 bangers making it to the track. The senior points chart is a little more comfortable than the juniors, but that doesn't stop these guys from battling all the way! Plenty of crashing and loads of banter throughout!

Couple of great heat wins there for 403 Daniel, and also for 383 Divvy. It was good to see 50 Ross race with a transponder, and collect his first set of banger points for 2018! Wycombe lad, 427 Nelly was in amongst the front runners, along with 555 Dan. 51 Chris fared well with his first visit to Brentwood; and young 100 Cain had some pretty good results for his first meeting too.
183 Shaye dominated the final, taking the chequered flag 6 laps ahead of 403 Daniel. 555 Dan came home in 3rd place, with 365 Sleepy two laps behind him.

Again, plenty of light hearted banter throughout, as it should be, giving another great evening of banger racing! Well done to everyone who took part tonight.
DESTRUCTION DERBY
To finish the evening for the bangers, we also held the usual DD. It had all the usual crashing and wrecking, with 59 Caitlyn Howard being the last car running. Congratulations Caitlyn, a great finish to a great evening!
2L SALOON STOCKS
As well as our usual bangers, we also had 2L Saloons on the menu, and tonight was the final round in the 2018 Club Points Championship! Current standings were as follows -

183 Shaye Hunter = 249
22 John Hillyard = 200
27 Jamie Townsend = 190
383 Divvy = 150
311 Stuart Tinker = 120
186 Nige Palmer = 109
203 Jack Booker = 106
4 Kev Hunt = 98
662 Midge = 85
76 Mathew Morris = 71

With a comfortable lead of 49 points, Shaye could afford to drop a few points tonight, but knowing Shaye, that wasn't about to happen! The main battle tonight was between John and Jamie, with only 10 points between them, they were to battle for 2nd place. So how would our drivers fare tonight?

Told you! The battle between Shaye and John continued, with split finishes in each heat! They do enjoy their battles! Just look at how close those timings are! Great entertainment guys, well done. Unfortunately, John was held up by a back marker in the final, and finished 3 laps down on Shaye, but was still smiling! Jack and Jamie also raced well, and battled for the 3rd place finish, with Jack taking it in two of the heats and Jamie taking the other. Jack then went on to finish 3rd in the final. Great racing guys! And great racing too from all the drivers. This has been a great Championship of racing this year, with some fantastically close finishes, thank you to all who have taken part.

CONGRATULATIONS Shaye, BRENTWOOD CLUB POINTS CHAMPION, 2L SALOON STOCKS, 2018! With a clear lead of 50 points, Shaye takes the Championship, and deservedly so! He's shown consistency and control throughout the year, and always with that cheeky smile of his on his face! Congratulations to John, finishing in 2nd place, and to Jamie for taking 3rd! A great competition, bring on 2019! You guys will receive your trophies at the Christmas Presentation meeting on Sunday 16th December. For the full points chart, head over to the points page to see where everyone finished. There is one more outing this year for the 2L Saloons, on Saturday December 8th, when they line up to see who takes the title of Essex Champion 2018! Looking forward to that one!
F2 STOCK CARS
As with the 2L Saloons, tonight was also the final round for the F2's, and again, this has been another close run Championship throughout the year. Current standing were as follows -

183 Shaye Hunter - 242
383 Divvy - 144
22 John Hillyard - 138
58 Darren Howard - 119
19 Tubs - 117
27 Jamie Townsend - 115
217 Wayne Mitchell - 110
76 Mathew Morris - 99
65 Shaky - 85
71 Dylan Ellis - 41

An extremely comfortable lead of 98 points meant that Shaye could not be caught and had already clinched the title! But giving away a win is not in Shaye's nature, so we were not expecting him to ease off at all tonight! Tonight's main battle would surely be between John and Divvy for 2nd place, and with Darren and Tubs not racing, Jamie was hoping to rack up some decent points too!

Not the good night Jamie was hoping for, only making it to the track for the first two heats. Divvy too, did not have the best of meetings, neither did Wayne. Shaye, on the other hand, dominated the oval, taking the chequered flag for all three heats and the final! Dylan took 2nd place in all three heats, with John finishing 3rd, but in the final, John managed to creep ahead of Dylan. Chris fared well on his first ever visit to Brentwood, and Wayne too had problems with his car and had to miss round two.

CONGRATULATIONS Shaye, BRENTWOOD F2 POINTS CHAMPION, 2018! Two titles in one night! Is there no stopping this lad? John jumped up to 2nd place, pushing Divvy down to 3rd. Many thanks to all who've taken part this year, it's been another great Championship. One more outing due this year for the F2's, Saturday 8th December, for the Essex Championship, will Shaye repeat his success and take two more titles in one night? Only time will tell!

Many thanks to all who attended tonight, see you all next weekend for the birthday bash!
