Another themed meeting today, on a beautiful, bright, hot, sunny day, here at the Cow Shed in Brentwood. This time it was the turn of the Sunny and Lada shells, both known for falling apart easily, and to add to the fun, the rule tonight was cable tie and tape repair only!

A great evening of racing for 59 Caitlyn, 2nd in heat one, winning heat two, then a great win in the final, on splits from current points leader, 115 Sonny; this girl is gonna go far in the RC world if she carries on like this! Congratulations Caitlyn, you're doing so well! Newcomer 998 Henry settled in well with his first race meeting, with 3rd, 2nd and 3rd, then 3rd in the final! What a start to his racing career! Another newcomer, 997 McKenzie, also started his race career well with 5th, 4th, and 4th in the heats and then 4th in the final, well done lad! Our third newcomer, 118 Cameron, was pitting next to me, and I could feel his excitement radiating off him! He raced well and enjoyed his race, then studied the result, and I wish I had a £1 for every time he told me "I did 17 laps in 3 minutes!", he was so proud! Then imagine how proud he was when he did 19, then 24 laps in 3 minutes! It's great, I love to see the kids getting so in to this sport! Really great racing from all the youngsters today, well done everyone!

It was good to see 311 Tinker making a return to Brentwood, and he arrived in style with his RC arctic lorry! We haven't seen Tinker in a while, he's been busy, following the birth of his beautiful daughter (congratulations from us all at Brentwood RC), and his return certainly caused a stir, with all the kids now nagging their parents for a lorry like his!
183 Shaye dominated heat one once again, with three straight wins, there's just no stopping this lad! Well done Shaye; and fellow CCORC club mate, 205 Koonta, dominated heat two. 29 Chris had a good evening, with 2nd, 3rd and 3rd, good to see you again too, Chris! 54 Alec had some fun in his first two heats, getting involved in some awesome wrecking, then missed his 3rd heat because he was chatting on the phone! We then let him go out in heat two, where he managed just two laps before taking an almighty smash and losing a wheel, amongst other damage! At least he was still smiling about it! With the rugby season now closed for the Summer, 46 Geoff made his return to the track for his usual wreckfest, bringing along his mate 561 Harry, who fared well at his first visit. 205 Koonta was dominating the final, and heading for a full house of results, until half way through the race he took an almighty head-on from 662 Midge, which killed his var dead! The battle went on amongst the remaining front runner, and once again, 183 Shaye took the lead and pulled away from the others, crossing the finish line to take the win 5 laps ahead of the field! 365 Sleepy was next to finish, a lap ahead of third place 55 Dan. 203 Jack came home in 4th place, and 5th place went to 71 Dylan. 676 Bob went on a wrecking spree, and enjoyed some heavy hits with 662 Midge, amongst others. Plenty of wrecks around the track caused chaos for the front runner, so well done to you guys for picking your way through the carnage! Another great All-In Final saw many fall, but saw them all leaving track side with big smiles! And that's what it's all about, having fun!

And yes, the Bellend is back! Three straight heat wins for 71 Dylan, proving he's not lost his touch, despite his break from racing! 183 Shaye and 203 Jack chased hard, but Dylan was just too quick for the two youngsters. In heat two, the first win went to 403 Daniel, snatching the win on splits from 29 Chris and 233 Dave. Dave then went on to take the chequered flag in round two, and Chris followed suit in round three.

As 114 Ian says "I do love a B Final!" and he proved it by taking the chequered flag for this one. 383 Divvy followed him across the line to take 2nd place with 603 Chris coming home in 3rd place. 50 Ross finished in 4th, having had repeated problems with his car all evening.

A great finish for 71 Dylan, collecting maximum points for his evening's racing. 29 Chris tried hard to catch Dylan, but had to settle for 2nd place, with 183 Shaye coming home in 3rd. Good racing from all the guys tonight, with some excellent drifting!

Whilst 205 Koonta and 183 Shaye battled together for the chequered flag, others chose to have their fun in true banger style, by spinning each other out and causing chaos! 676 Bob and 383 Divvy were both on form with their wrecking, and still managed to get a few laps under their belts too! Plenty of banter and lots of laughter whilst these fun cars were on the track! The final came down to an exciting finish, with Koonta and Shaye both completing the 50 laps, Koonta just a touch in front of Shaye to claim the win! Well done guys, great fun to watch.
