ALL ABOUT THE 2'S!

​

Time once again for some fun at the cowshed!  Tonight we have the Up to 2L Bangers, 2L Saloon Stocks, and F2 Stock Cars.  Standard points rounds for them all, no trophies tonight, just plenty of fun, racing, and friendly banter!

JUNIOR BANGERS

16 Denny Townsend, 38 Elle Palmer, 53 Harry Palmer, 81 Bille/Chloe, 115 Sonny Holtom, 166 Harley Donovan, 233 Joey Nash, and 331 Andrew "Dinky" Donovan.

A good start in round one for Sonny, taking the win six laps ahead of the field!  Billie/Chloe came home in 2nd place, with Joey finishing in 3rd.  Elle crossed the line to take 4th place, with Harley coming home in 6th and Denny finishing 7th.  Dinky DNS.   In round two, Sonny again had a great lead, finishing with 5 laps to spare!  Billie/Chloe again came home in 2nd place, and finishing 3rd was Harry.  Elle crossed the line in 4th place, with 5th place going to Harley and 6th place going to Joey.  Denny came home in 7th place and Dinky DNS.  Sonny sealed his hat-trick with another great win in round three.  Billie/Chloe again finished in 2nd place, with Harley crossing the line to claim 3rd.  Dinky finally got sorted and took 4th place, just beating Elle to the place on splits!  Harry crossed the line to claim 6th place, Joey came home in 7th and Denny finished in 8th.

For the Final, Denny DNS, Joey completed 19 laps to take 7th place, and Harry finished in 6th place with 21 laps.  Elle finished in 5th place with 23 laps, Harley came home in 4th place with 25 laps, ans Dinky crossed the line to take 3rd place with 31 laps.  Billie/Chloe again finished in 2nd place with 38 laps, but completing a full house tonight, was Sonny, taking the chequered flag with 2 laps to spare!  Well done Sonny, great meeting for you!

 

SENIOR BANGERS

HEAT ONE - 27 Jamie Townsend, 46 Charlie Aylward, 116 Wayne Holtom, 122 Colin Openshaw, 146 Jack Aylward, 183 Shaye Hunter, 186 Tom O'Sullivan, 203 Jack Booker, 233 Dave "Big Dave" Nash, 251 Connor Shields-Cook, 269 Chloe McDonald, 310 Matthew "Grinner" Davidson, 337 Danny Green, 371 Sean Foley, 410 Alvin Harvey, 461 Paul Aylward, 515 Conor Harvey, 521 Alan Gray, 551 Michael Collins, 710 Billy Harvey, 711 Danny "Wobbly" Ellis, and 810 Dave "Smithy" Smith.

Some great racing among these guys tonight, with some really close finishes.  In round one, 183 Shaye and 203 Jack crossed the almost side-by-side, but Shaye managed to give it that little extra kick at the end, and took the win!  551 Michael and 515 Conor also battled for 3rd place, with Michael just managing to push Conor into 4th.  In round two, 183 Shaye had a blinding win, with 5 laps to spare!  203 Jack again was in 2nd place, with 461 Paul taking the 3rd place from 551 Michael on splits!  Round three was also decided by splits, this time in the favour of 515 Conor, who pushed 183 Shaye down to 2nd place.  551 Michael took 3rd place, also on splits, from 203 Jack in 4th place and 233 Big Dave in 5th.

HEAT TWO - 9 Stuart Davies, 19 James "Tubbs" Donovan, 29 Steve "Stitch" Donovan, 50 Ross Mason, 55 Barry Mason, 63 Jean Mason, 68 Jade Mason, 71 Dylan Ellis, 103 Shannon Foreman, 103 Paul Foreman, 123 Kerry Nash, 142 Steve Collins, 166 Dougie "Doogle" Donovan, 177 Scott "Brick" Chopping, 228 Karl Dilworth, 362 Dave Taylor, 375 Taylor-Jay Liles, 383 Darren "Divvy" Goldberg, 406 Brad Dilworth, 546 Kerry Goldstone, and 662 Simon "Midge" Alexander.

A flying start for 71 Dylan, taking the win in round one with a clear three laps.  228 Karl took 2nd place on splits from 375 Taylor and 383 Divvy.  177 Brick came home in 5th.  In round two, the win went to 177 Brick, with 375 Taylor finishing in 2nd place, followed by 228 Karl in 3rd.  71 Dylan finished 4th, with 383 Divvy snatching 5th place from 19 Tubbs on splits.  Another win for 71 Dylan in round three, 2 laps clear of 228 Karl, who took 2nd place on splits from 177 Brick.  383 Divvy then finished in 4th place on splits with 375 Taylor, who had to settle for 5th.

 

B FINAL

And it was a DNS for 50 Ross, 103 Shannon, 710 Billy, 186 Tom, and 711 Wobbly, though to be fair, a couple of them were still racing, just didn't have a pt fitted!  Just 3 laps for 103 Paul placed him in 14th place, with 166 Doogle completing just 4 laps and finishing in 13th place.  Both 63 Jean and 123 Kerry finished with 6 laps a piece, Jean in 12th place and Kerry in 11th.  142 Steve came home in 10th place with 7 laps, and 12 laps gave 269 Chloe 9th place.  29 Stitch finished in 8th place with 17 laps, and 810 Smithy crossed the line with 18 laps to take 7th place.  68 Jade also finished with 18 laps and took 6th place, with 362 Dave just losing out to 410 Alvin on splits and so took 5th place with 25 laps, and Alvin taking 4th.  122 Colin crossed the line with 26 laps to finish in 3rd place, 27 Jamie came home in 2nd place with 35 laps, and the B Final winner, with 45 laps, 10 whole laps clear of the field was newcomer 337 Danny Green!  congratulations Danny, a well-deserved win!

A FINAL

So, into the main event, and sadly a DNS for 310 Grinner.  662 Midge completed 9 laps whilst on his usual wrecking spree, and so finished in 22nd place!  12 laps placed 521 Alan in 21st place, while 461 Paul finished in 20th place with 13 laps; unlucky for some!  Crossing the line with 15 laps and taking 19th place was 546 Kerry, with 146 Jack taking 18th place with 21 laps.  In 17th place was 55 Barry (in total shock, "Gill, Gill, I'm in the A Final!"), and in 16th place was 9 Stuart, both with 23 laps.  19 Tubbs crossed the line to take 15th place with 24 laps, and 46 Charlie came home in 14th place with 29 laps.  251 Connor completed 30 laps to finish in 13th place, with 383 Divvy completing 33 laps to finish 12th.  Also with 33 laps, snatching 11th place was 233 big Dave, and crossing the line in 10th place was 116 Wayne.  9th place went to 375 Taylor with 35 laps, 8th place went ot 406 Brad, also with 35 laps, and 7th place went to 203 Jack, also with 35 laps.  With 42 laps, 515 Conor came home in 6th place, and 43 laps placed 551 Michael in 5th.  177 Brick claimed 4th place with 44 laps, and in 3rd place with 45 laps was 71 Dylan.  228 Karl also finished with 45 laps and took 2nd place, and just just nudging ahead enough to take the win, with 45 laps was 183 Shaye Hunter.  Congratulations Shaye, a great finish, and so close!

 

2L SALOON STOCKS

HEAT ONE - 19 James "Tubbs" Donovan, 183 Shaye Hunter, 203 Jack Booker, 233 Dave "Big Dave" Nash, 383 Darren "Divvy" Goldberg, and 551 Michael Collins.

You always see some great racing in this formula, and tonight was no exception!  A fantastic battle for the lead in round one between Michael and Shaye, finished with Michael just inching in front to take the chequered flag, forcing Shaye to settle for 2nd place.  Jack came home in 3rd place, two laps behind, with Divvy taking 4th place on splits from Tubbs.  Big Dave hit problems and retired from the race after just 2 laps.  In round two, Michael took the chequered flag once again, with Jack taking 2nd place a lap down.  Shaye finished in 3rd place and Divvy followed him across the line to take 4th.  Big Dave crossed the line in 5th place with Tubbs coming home in 6th.  Completing his hat-trick, Michael took the win once more with Shaye following him across the line on splits.  Jack came home in 3rd place, with Divvy taking 4th place once again.  In 5th place was Big Dave, and 6th place went to Tubbs.

HEAT TWO - 27 Jamie Townsend, 50 Ross Mason, 68 Jade Mason, 371 Sean Foley and 662 Simon "Midge" Alexander.

A fantastic start for Jade tonight, taking her first win in the 2L's, 18 laps ahead of the field!  Congratulations Jade, you're getting there!  Ross followed Jade home to take 2nd place, with Jamir finishing 3rd.  Sean and Midge DNS. Round two saw all 5 competitors make it to the track, with Jade taking her 2nd win of the night, on splits from Jamie. (Girl Power Jade, the Essex bling is beginning to work!)  Midge came home in 3rd place, with Ross following to take 4th place and Sean crossing the line in 5th.  All change in round three, with Sean crossing the line 1st to take the win. Midge followed home a lap later, and Jamie finished 3rd.  Jade crossed the line in 4th place and Ross came home in 5th.

B FINAL

Sean completed 40 laps to cross the line in 5th place, with midge coming home in 4th place with 45 laps.  Divvy finished in 3rd place, losing out on 2nd to Big Dave on splits, both have completed 47 laps, and 1st across the line and raising the chequered flag was Tubbs.  Well done Tubbs, a great finish!

A FINAL

Sadly Jamie DNS, while Ross completed 18 laps to finish in 5th place.  Jade came home in 4th place with 46 laps, and Jack completed 57 laps to take 3rd place.  The battle between Shaye and Michael that had raged in the heats, continued into the final, with Shaye chasing hard, but not quite able to catch him, Shaye had to settle for 2nd place with 58 laps, but crossing the line for the win with 60 laps, was Michael, raising the chequered flag once again!  Congratulations Michael, a great race!

F2 STOCK CARS

HEAT ONE - 71 Dylan Ellis, 81 Craig "Hooligan" Cheverall, 177 Scott "Brick" Chopping, 183 Shaye Hunter, and 366 Karl "Simba" McDowell.

It seems that no matter what formula Shaye races, he's always up there near the top, and the F2's are no exception!  There seems to be no end to this lad's driving skills, and he's still only 10 years old!  Crossing the line to take the win was Brick, with Shaye hanging tightly onto his rear bumper, to finish in 2nd place on splits!  Dylan finished in 3rd place, with Hooligan coming home in 4th place and Simba finishing 5th.  In round two, Shaye got the win he was seeking, crossing the line a lap ahead of Brick, who was fighting another battle with Dylan, who just lost out on 2nd place to Brick on splits.  Simba finished in 4th place with Holligan coming home in 5th.  Brick regained control of the track in round three, and crossed the line 1st for the win.  In 2nd place was Shaye, while Dylan came home in 3rd place.  Hooligan finished in 4th place, with Simba again finishing 5th.

HEAT TWO - 68 Jade Mason, 371 Sean Foley, 375 Taylor-Jay liles, 383 Darren "Divvy" Goldberg, and 711 Danny "Wobbly" Ellis.

A great finish in round one for Jade, snatching the win from Divvy on splits!  Go girl!!  Taylor-Jay came home in 3rd place with Sean finishing 4th and Wobbly crossing the line to take 5th.  In round two the win went to Taylor-Jay, with Divvy again finishing in 2nd place.  Jade came home in 3rd place with Sean finishing in 4th and Wobbly crossing the line to take 5th place.  Taylor-Jay again took the win in round three, with Divvy just losing out on splits.  Jade crossed the line to take 3rd place, and 4th was Sean, with Wobbly coming home to take 5th place once again.

ALL IN FINAL

Wobbly completed 28 laps to finish in 10th place, with Sean coming home in 9th with 31 laps.  Simba crossed the line with 42 laps to take 8th place, while Divvy completed 44 laps to finish in 7th.  Dylan snatched 5th place from Jade, pushing her back to 6th place, both finishing with 46 laps.  splits again separated Taylor-Jay and Hooligan, both finishing on 47 laps, with Taylor-Jay in 4th place and Hooligan in 3rd.  Brick crossed the line to take 2nd place with 48 laps, but the overall winner with 50 laps was Young Shaye.  congratulations Shaye, a great finish!

DD

To complete the evening, we finished with the usual crashfest of the DD.  Despite all the usual carnage and enforced damage, the last Junior running was 53 Harry palmer, with the overall winner, completing a very successful evening's racing was 183 Shaye Hunter.  Congratulations boys, you certainly showed the "big boys" how it's done!
