ABS BANGERS, ALLOY BANGERS, STEEL STOX
Well it may have been the first day of Summer, but the weather was more like the dead of Winter! It was cold, wet and extremely windy, but none of this dampened the spirits of our beloved Brentwood drivers; we were at last back at the track and racing!

The past 14 months have been a difficult time for the club, and we would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for their help and support, ensuring the club still has a home and a community to return to.
​
Not only was this evening our first meeting of the year, but also the launch of the Steel Stox. Created and sponsored primarily by Mr Peter Bowley, Steel Stox are 10th scale stock cars, based on the full size PRI Stock Cars, currently racing at Swaffham Raceway. They replace the Alloy Super Bangers, which depleted in numbers during 2019/20. For more details and availability, please contact Pete via Facebook, I'm sure he'll happily give you all the information you need.

Back to tonight, and not as many made it to the track as expected, due to the adverse weather and traffic problems, but we still had a full race card with 17 Steel Stox, 18 ABS Bangers and 24 Alloy Bangers! A great re-start for all!

As you can see, some great results there, and a great return to racing! The Steel Stox proved to be popular, with Pete already having a list of orders for customers, so it looks like we'll see an increase in numbers over the next few meetings, great news!

The Alloy Bangers and the ABS Bangers were on their usual form, with plenty of good, fast racing, as well as plenty of bent metal and plastic carnage. The guys and gals made the most of being back!
​
Many thanks to all who braved the weather to get here tonight. Sadly, despite living fairly close to the track, I couldn't make it, I couldn't even get out the end of my road due to the traffic!
​
Thank you to Cheryl for running the snack bar and spares shop so efficiently, as she always does! And many thanks to the Brentwood Crew for hosting a great come-back meeting, great racing, good fun and plenty of hilarious banter! All in true Brentwood style!
