We start today with the 1300 Stock Cars, being as this was the last points meeting of 2017.
A great attendance, with 26 Stock Cars making it to the Cow Shed, split into three heats. There were heat wins for our Somerset visitor, 470 Gary Baker, and KCO's 527 Ashton Armstrong, with two heat wins each for 183 Shaye Hunter, and another KCO driver, 700 Dave Andrews. The unstoppable 177 Scott Chopping took all three wins in his heat!

JUNIOR BANGERS
​
Another great show of Juniors tonight, with thirteen taking to the track in their Ford Bangers. A great first win for 115 Sonny Holtom, showing why he's leading the Junior Points Championship. Two great heat wins for 34 Alfie Hunt of KCO, another great little racer looking to be a future Champ in the RC World. We'd also like to welcome Junior and Holly Brownlie, who made their first trip to the track, and had their very first go at RC racing! Young Junior went out in the Junior class, and sister holly joined the Seniors, both enjoying their evening immensely, by all accounts! Well done Junior and Holly, you both gave a great show for your first time, and hopefully we will see you racing again soon.

Some great racing there from our younger contingent, and some excellent results. Congratulations to Sonny, Alfie and AC on collecting their trophies for the top three places in the Final, with a mixture from three different clubs, Sonny from Brentwood, Alfie from KCO and AC from SMF. congratulation also for Brentwood driver 53 Harry Palmer for his Smart Car Award, and congratulations to all the youngsters for putting on a great show and having loads of fun as per usual.

SENIOR BANGERS
Wow! What another great turn-out of Bangers yet again! This club is really starting to outgrow the Cow Shed! It was great to see a KCO invasion, even if we did have to pit them in the Luton body on the trailer! But I'm assured the guys didn't mind, and by the smiles on their faces, I think they had plenty of fun! (Though Dave Andrews did tell me he was feeling a little seasick! lol)
There were heat wins for 71 Dylan Ellis, 203 Jack Booker, 183 Shaye Hunter, 36 Dean Hunt, and 2 wins for 228 Karl Dilworth, who's battling hard to regain his lead at the top of the points chart. We had some great close racing, with many places being decided on heats, as well as the usual wrecking, making the Bangers fun as always!

403 Daniel Jordan suffered at the hands of his dodgy transponder, when it refused to register any laps in his first two heats, but with a new transponder in it's place, Daniel had a much better result in round three! And then there was poor 183 Shaye Hunter. Rodding his little socks off, Shaye could not understand why he was finishing so low in his results, till his Dad Paul (who found it highly hilarious) realised he was plugging the transponder in the wrong way round! There was poor Shaye saying "Dad, I don't understand, I only got 11th and 17th." And there was Paul telling him "You'll have to race a bit harder then, won't you boy?" Classic! With his transponder plugged in correctly, Shaye promptly won the next heat! It's moments like this that remind you why we love this sport! lol
