METAL MADNESS!
Tonight was time to launch the 2018 season of the metal crunching Ally Bangers and Ally Super Bangers! To add to the madness, we also ran ABS Bangers, just for fun, no points for them!
​
ALLY BANGERS
We had 18 Ally Bangers here tonight, all placed in the same heat for some metal crunching fun and games! Divvy placed a bottle of wine on offer for the Smart Car Award, and 711 Danny Ellis joked that he wanted the wine with the words "I'm 'avin' that, let's get p***ed!" To his delight, he then discovered his car had been picked and I've never seen him move so fast to claim his prize! Hope you enjoyed it Danny!

A crucifying DD saw some awesome wrecking and metal crunching, with plenty of carnage all around the track! 116 Luke Want was the last Junior running, and the overall win went to 103 Paul foreman, well-done guys!
Some great pics there, and as you can see, 711 Danny certainly had some fun with his Smart Car! as did many others!

So having made a clean sweep of the rounds, 177 Scott missed out on a full house to 401 Craig! Some wrecking taking place too, so well-done to the front runners for picking your way through the carnage. The DD was the usual affair, with an exciting finish as 53 Harry Palmer and 716 Nicola Want battled for the win as they did just two days ago at the Thursday Fun night! First we thought Nicola had won by destroying Harry, but then Harry got going again. Then we thought Harry had won by destroying Nicola, but then Nicola got going again! This continued until the finished with an almighty hit that rendered them both dead! So another draw declared! Well-done kids, great fun, and very entertaining!
22 John Hillyard had a visit from his little grandson tonight, who bought along his own form of banger racing!
ALLY SUPER BANGERS
Five Super Bangers (basically Drifts with an Ally shell) graced the track tonight, starting their quest for supremacy in the 2018 series. Always good to watch, despite the low number, these guys had their usual battles and fun!
