ALL TRIUMPH CHRISTMAS BANGERS
DRIFTS WORLD FINAL
RELIANT ROBINS WORLD FINAL
END OF YEAR PRESENTATION

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

So here we are at last, the very last meeting of 2018! And what an action packed meeting we had planned! Two World Finals, our usual crash fest of Christmas Bangers (all Triumphs), and of course, the crowning glory, the end of year trophy presentation for all our points Championship winner! As usual, the wall were bowing with the sheer volume of bodies present, and with everyone in the Christmas spirit, we were in for a great day!
First out were the Christmas Bangers, and they were quite a few that had really entered the Christmas theme! Well done all, and thank you for taking the time and energy to enter into the spirit.
Great effort there guys and gals, very festive!

In the Banger final, 183 Shaye crossed the line a lap ahead of 205 Koonta, to take the win.

Great Bangers racing from all, with the usual wrecking and racing, and great fun!

DESTRUCTION DERBY

The DD was the usual affair, with plenty of crashing and carnage! The last two cars running were both Juniors, so received a prize each from Midge (see, he can get in the Christmas spirit really, despite what he says! LOL) Sadly, I cannot find any pics of these two youngsters receiving their awards, but I do have a pic of 414 Marc Zanders, who received the award for Best Wrecked! Well done to all three of you, and we all look forward to seeing you all even more successful next year!
Time for some special Awards now
DRIFTS WORLD FINAL

A heat win and two 2nd places ensured 71 Dylan was in the final, as did a 2nd place and two wins did for 183 Shaye. Finishing in 3rd place in all three heats also placed 403 Daniel through to the Final, and also through from heat one was 676 Bob; well done lads!
203 Jack secured his place by taking the chequered flag twice, and so too did 205 Koonta with 2nd place twice and a win. Also making it through was 603 Chris and 383 Divvy; great stuff boys!
The B Final was a two-headed affair, as 711 Danny failed to race, leaving 22 John and 233 Big Dave to have their own battle, all in good fun, of course!
The World Championship Final, however, was more serious. With such an accolade at stake, the racing was hard. 205 Koonta crossed the line to take 3rd place with 50 laps, whilst 2nd place went to 71 Dylan with 53 laps. However, the disreputable and new DRIFT WORLD CHAMPION 2018 is 183 Shaye Hunter. Congratulations Shaye, a fantastic result!

Three straight wins gave 183 Shaye a great start in his Robin, with 76 Mathew and 383 Divvy taking the wins in heat two. With an All-In Final scheduled, every driver qualified, but with double the competition came double the work to take the title! The battle was fought long and hard and the lead changed several times throughout the race. 71 Dylan crossed the line with 45 laps to take 3rd place, whilst 48 laps secured 2nd place for 22 John. But ever the Champion, and not content with taking home one World Championship, crossing the line with 50 laps to take the win and duly crowned RELIANT ROBIN WORLD CHAMPION 2018 was 183 Shaye Hunter! Congratulations Shaye, there's not many who can say they are double World Champion at the tender age of 12!
