PUT THE PEDAL TO THE METAL!

Time once again for the Ally Bangers, and this time it was Brentwood's turn to host a round of the AWS (Ally world Series), hosted by Richie "Dickie Boy" Jarrard.  This series is being run of a number of rounds, each held at a different club around the country.  With 32 Ally Bangers booked in, we were in for an awesome afternoon!  Add to that, 12 ABS Bangers and 4 Ally Superbangers for support, and we were in for a hectic afternoon too!

It never ceases to amaze me how you guys come up with the ideas and the incredible builds with these Ally Bangers! There were some excellent builds on show, culminating in "Smart Car" Awards for 572 Rob Barnard and 196 Chip Howland, and a special award for "Rarest Tin" for 65  Bradley Jarrard.  Congratulations guys, terrific effort!

Amazing builds!  Amazing artwork!  Congratulations guys, great work!

So the Ally Bangers got under way, to tremendous applause, cheers, jibes and banter!  As always, great racing, with some surprise results, and some epic carnage!  These guys know how to enjoy their sport!

Some great results there, with 183 Shaye making it 3 out of 3!  And some really close finishes!  Next up was the All-In final, with 30 Ally Bangers making it to the track!  Awesome!

Another great race, with yet another great finish, with Shaye, Ockie, Jack and Conor all holding the lead at some point throughout the race!  but coming through to claim the chequered flag, Taylor-Jay kept his cool and whipped through to the front and just the right moment!  Congratulations Taylor-Jay, and congratulations to all the trophy winners, great racing!  Great entertainment!

The DD commenced with the expected metal-crunching carnage, as is usual at these meetings!  Keeping the cars going was no mean feat in this DD!  Congratulations to 26 Cliff Hutchings who, against all odds, was last car running, and so collected the trophy for the DD win!  Great Ally meeting guys, well done.  Many thanks to Midge and crew for hosting the meeting, and many thanks to Dickie Boy for sponsoring the meeting, providing the trophies, and brain-waving the original conception!  A great success!

Many thanks to all who've provided photos, I'm really grateful guys and gals, really brightens the website when we have plenty of pics to show off our great sport!

ABS BANGERS

Twelve plastics out in support today, and was good to see a couple of new faces to The Cow Shed!

A great couple of wins there for Will, and some great racing from Divvy, better known for his crashing rather than racing!  An extremely close finish in the final, with Shaye just nudging Will down into 2nd place to claim the chequered flag for himself!  Great racing folks, as always.

ALLY SUPERBANGERS

Last, but by no means least, we had the Ally Superbangers, 1/10th scale Ally Drifts.  just four entries today, but with so much else going on, I'm surprised they found the time for this formula too!

There may have only been four cars on the track, but the action was just as exciting!  A couple of really close finishes saw Jack raise the flag twice, and a great four lap win for Dylan in the heats too.  The boys then decided to have some extra fun in the final, trying their utmost to disarm their rivals every chance they got!  With all this going on, Dylan managed to creep through, take the lead, increase the gap and take the Final win!  Well-done Dylan, great tactics!

Many thanks to everyone who made today's meeting possible, another great day to add to the list!  Thank you to all who supported the meeting by booking in and racing, good to see so many faces at Brentwood, you obviously enjoy yourselves when you're here, and that's what it's all about!
