SCHOOL'S OUT - LET'S HAVE A FUN NIGHT!

With Thursday evenings usually reserved for practice, being as this week was the half-term holidays, Divvy decided to lay on a fun night, as has now become the custom here at Brentwood.  The fun of this is you can use as many shells as you wish, whatever shells you wish, and have plenty of fun with them all!  No separate Junior racing tonight, all bangers were out together, split into 2 heats of 16 each.

BANGERS

A great start for 71 Dylan Ellis in heat one, with a victory over 375 Taylor-Jay Liles on splits!  371 Sean Foley came home in 3rd place, 10 laps down!  In round two, 375 Taylor-Jay took the chequered flag, 5 laps ahead of 666 Lorry Man, with 537 Bradley Powers finishing 3rd.  371 Sean took a rare win in round three, a lap ahead of 666 Lorry Man, who in turn was a lap ahead of 3rd place man 166 Dougie Donovan.

In heat two, the first win went to 403 Daniel Jordan, with 330 Brad Carle coming home 5 laps later to claim 2nd place, and finishing in 3rd place was 65 Alan "Shaky" Clarke.  In round two, 383 Divvy himself took the win on splits from 403 Daniel, with 330 Brad finishing in 3rd place.    403 Daniel reclaimed the glory in round three, finishing 5 laps ahead of 19 Tubbs, with young 38 Elle Palmer coming home to take 3rd place.

An all-in final saw plenty of crashing, but picking his way through all the carnage to claim 1st place after 50 laps was 383 Divvy, with 2nd place going to 666 Lorry Man, a full 12 laps down!  71 Dylan finished in 3rd place with 35 laps, and 4th place went to 33 Phil Roggerman with 30 laps.  Girl Power shone through for 5th place, with 38 Elle finishing with 27 laps, and with 26 laps, 68 Jade Mason finished in 6th.  65 Shaky finished in 7th place with 24 laps, 375 Taylor-Jay came home in 8th place with 22 laps, and finishing with 20 placed 330 Brad in 9th place, just beating young 19 Chloe into 10th place on splits.  Also with 20 laps, 53 Harry Palmer finished 11th, 13 laps placed 63 Jean Mason in 12th, and in 13th place was 81 Hooligan, also with 13 laps.  716 Nicola Want took 14th place from 179 Ronnie Richards on splits, completing 12 laps each, and 88 Chloe Lawrence took 16th place on splits from 537 Bradley Powers, both finishing with 10 laps.  371 Sean Foley finished in 18th place with 8 laps, with 403 Daniel Jordan beating 76 Darren Lawrence to 19th place with just 7 laps.  116 Luke Want completed 3 laps to finish in 21st place, with 22nd going to 339 Abbie Pullen with 1 lap.  975 Louisa Phillips, 66 Harley Donovan, 27 Jamie Townsend, 25 Sam Townsend, 11 Tel Boy, 166 Dougie Donovan, 94 James Raymond, 258 Dave Lungley, 999 Peter Townsend, 666 Max smith, 19 Tubbs, 58 Paul Raymond, and 45 Carole Butcher were all DNS.  Great fun had by all!

The DD was the usual mix of wrecking and carnage, with two young juniors, 53 Harry Palmer and 716 Nicola Want, left running along side 383 Divvy.  When Divvy's batteries gave up the ghost, it was left to the 2 juniors to battle it out, and an almighty head on killing both cars, a draw was declared!  Well done Harry and Nicola, great action!

Just a few pics posted from tonight's meeting, thanks guys!

Another great show of 1300 Stock Cars, with 15 car divided into 2 heats.

In heat two we saw an exciting finish in round one, with 366 Simba just grabbing the win from 403 Daniel Jordan.  383 Divvy came home in 3rd place.  Round two, it was 383 Divvy's turn to raise the chequered flag, with 403 Daniel having to settle for 2nd place on splits!  46 Mark White finished 3rd.  In round three 383 Divvy was victorious once again, this time a lap ahead of 403 Daniel, with 46 Mark again claiming 3rd place.

An 80 lap A Final saw a spectacular finish, with 383 Divvy and 403 Daniel running neck and neck and battling hard for the win!  403 Daniel was victorious, with 383 Divvy settling for 2nd place on splits!  The battle for 3rd place was between 319 Daz Fuller and 366 Simba, with splits separating them once again, 319 Daz taking 3rd place and 366 Simba settling for 4th, both finishing with 77 laps.  375 Taylor-Jay came home in 5th place with 74 laps, and 77 Tommy E Smith came home in 6th with 73 laps.  With 67 laps, 81 Hooligan finished 7th, with 45 laps, 46 Mark White came home in 8th place, and 27 Jamie Townsend finished with 13 laps in 9th place.

So another great evening closed with many smiles.  All credit goes to Divvy for running the meeting all alone, with Midge swanning off to the USA to visit Daytona, and myself unable to make it to the track tonight, well-done Divvy!  Many thanks to all who came tonight, glad to see you all had fun!  See you all again in two days time for the metal madness that is Ally Bangers!
