ADAM BROWN TESTIMONIAL

A slight change today to our usual meetings, as we held a testimonial for the infamous Adam BrownAdam is a staunch supporter of our beloved sport, and travels as much as he can to film RC meetings, and some of the profit he makes from his videos he sells go to The Autism Society.  A colourful character, Adam is well known in the RC community, and the suggestion was put to Midge & Co to hold a meeting in Adam's honour, which, of course, the crew were happy to do.  So all Bangers were painted in Adam's team colours, The Vipers.  In addition, Adam asked if we would run 1300 Stock Cars, but instead of the normal mix, we were to put all White & Yellow grade drivers together, and then Blue/Red/Champions out together in a separate heat, which we did, just for him!  As Adam likes to wear a full set of race overalls when he's racing, a few of the drivers donned their race overalls too!  The day was all about having fun, and plenty of fun was had by all!

1300 STOCK CARS

As I said earlier, the 1300 Stock Cars were split into their roof grades, and with 22 White/Yellow grades, we had three heats for them, and then a heat for the 5 remaining top grade drivers.  The driving was fast and furious, and great entertainment, as always, and it's great to see so many of our Juniors taking up this formula and honing their driving skills, some faring better than some of the Seniors!

DESTRUCTION DERBY

Bringing the day to a close, the DD was the usual carnage, destruction and chaos.  Newbie Charlie Ruskin was the last Junior running, and the last Senior running was 577 Alfie Lee.

Many thanks to Midge & Co for another exceptional meeting of fun, fun, fun!  I'm pretty sure Adam enjoyed his meeting, he was certainly smiling a lot throughout the day!

We are back next Saturday for our final meeting of 2019, with the Christmas Themed Bangers, the Drifts World Final, and Reliant Robins World Final!  and of course, we also have our End of Year Trophy Presentation.  Be there, or be a couch potato!
