HEAVY METAL!

Time once again for the metal crunching Ally Bangers, Ally Super Bangers and non-points ABS Bangers.  And it's so nice to see the weather finally warming up, and being able to have the shutters open for fresh air rather than just the entrance to the marquee or gazebo!

A great start there for 77 Josh, with a 6 lap win over 71 Dylan in round one.  778 Slimadey had a 3rd place, surprisingly, as Adey is not known to chase to the finish, he usually enjoys going back and forth on the back straight and causing chaos! Lol.  In round two, the top two positions swapped and this time it was 71 Dylan who took the chequered flag, four laps ahead of 77 Josh.  Two laps behind Josh came another of our teenage sensations, 203 Jack.  In round three, 203 Jack then took his turn to claim the win, with the Squaddie Man, 146 Alan, finishing in 2nd place and 557 Oly coming home in 3rd.  Great racing boys, well-done!

Usual front man, 177 Scott, felt the wrath of the Aylward family, but still managed to finish in 3rd place in round one, despite all their efforts to stop him!  461 Paul took the chequered flag, with his son, 46 Charlie, finishing 2nd, two laps behind.  In round two, 46 Charlie beat his Dad to the finish line this time, with 441 Timmy coming home in third.  Round three saw 177 Scott take the win, with 46 Charlie and 461 Paul chasing hard to finish on splits, two laps down.  There's no stopping The Brick when he's on to a win!  Good fun guys, well-done!

A great final, with 77 Josh flying to the finish to take the win and collect the 20 points, great racing Josh!  572 Rocket came home in 2nd place, two laps behind, and 146 Allan finished in 3rd place.  The battled continued between the Aylward's and 177 Scott, with 46 Charlie just snatching 4th place from Scott on splits!  203 Jack took 2nd place from 555 Dan (making his debut in Ally's) on splits, and 461 Paul came hone in 8th.  A great result for 537 Bradley finishing 9th, and 10th place went to 186 Tom.  A great final guys, well-done everyone!

Many thanks to all who provided the pics, always appreciated!

ALLY SUPER BANGERS

The Metal theme continued with the Ally Super Bangers (1/10th Drifts, but with an Ally shell).  Eight out tonight, making for some interesting racing!  19 Tubbs made his debut in this formula, using Ross' Hire Car, and was extremely pleased with his results, recommending to everyone that if you fancy having a try, hiring from Ross (see Facebook for more details) is the way to go!

Following his great results in the Ally Bangers, 77 Josh went on to exceed in the Ally Super Bangers, by taking the chequered flag each round!  71 Dylan took 2nd place in rounds 1 and 3, but having finished in 3rd place in round two, then found himself disqualified for taking his car off during the race, repairing and returning to the track!  (Tut, tut Dylan!  Come on lad, you know the rules, no concessions because it was your birthday weekend! Lol)  We saw some good racing from the rest of the crew, and a few crashes to add to the mix!

Having lost out on points in round two, 71 Dylan went out with all guns blazing to regain as many as possible, and crossed the finish line in first place to collect the maximum points available!  And what a great finish, taking the win on splits from 77 Josh on splits, and just look how close those times were!  19 Tubbs finished in 3rd place, with 603 Chris coming home to claim the 14 points for 4th place.  And despite problems in the final, 233 Dave still picked up enough points to keep him on 2nd place in the overall club Championship, but with 114 Ian Ardley closing the gap behind him, he'll have a lot of work to do at the next meeting!  68 Jade bought her usual Essex girl bling to the Arena, brightening up the track as always!

ABS BANGERS (non-points)

Twenty Eight plastics came along to the track tonight.  Juniors mixed in with the Seniors, and there was plenty of wrecking taking place with the usual carnage around the Brentwood Oval.  114 Ian Ardley, 603 Chris Kerrison and 383 Divvy provided the targets for tonight, by bring out their XXXL limos!  Very entertaining!

A manic final with a great deal of wrecking!  congratulations to 947 Joe, who managed to weave his way through the carnage to snatch the win from the claws of 383 Divvy on splits!  77 Josh chased hard, but was slowed by the wrecking and had to settle for 3rd place.  58 Darren came through to finish in 4th place and 5th went to 547 Sam.  Well-done guys, some great tactics used there!

Yet more make it on to the wall of wrecks!

ALLY DD & ABS DD

Both DD's were lengthy events tonight, with loads of bending metal and cracking plastic!  In the Ally's, 203 Jack Booker was the last Junior running, with 383 Divvy taking the win.  Then in the ABS, 3 Joey Nash collected his first Junior win, with 383 Divvy claiming the double.  (166 Dougie Donovan tried to claim the win, but had been sat out for quite a while before getting going again, so was out voted!  Better luck next time Dougie! LOL).  Well done to all.

So not such a busy night in the cow shed tonight, but just as much fun and banter!  We're back again next weekend with the JUNIOR ESSEX CHAMPIONSHIP, will 77 Josh Mackey retain his crown, or will we be crowing a new Champion?  Well the answer to that will be available in just one week's time!  Supporting the Juniors next week will be the 2L Saloon Stocks and F2 Stocks.  Have a good week people, see you next Sunday, doors open 10.30am.
