1300 STOCK CARS
Construction Rules

CHASSIS

  • Alloy or GRP chassis only, and to be no thicker than 3mm but must retain Mardave V12 wheelbase and track.

  • Any sharp edges should be smoothed down out on the chassis.

  • Rear extension plates are allowed, but should be no wider than the chassis and be no thicker than 3mm. 

  • Chassis MUST be parallel, no 'Winged' Chassis.

 

BATTERIES

  • Only 4 cell Sub C NiCads & ni-mh cells permitted.

  • Matched or unmatched cells permitted.

  • Max 5000Mah

  • They must be covered in clear heat shrink or the manufacturers covering with identification clearly visible.

  • Battery bars must be no wider than the battery.

 

SPEED CONTROLLERS

  • Manual and Electronic Speedo's are permitted.

  • Electronic Speedo Maximum RRP is £35.

  • No G28/V60.

 

GEARS, MOTOR POD & AXLE

  • Gearing is open.

  • Gear sleeves/clips are allowed on the Mardave gear arms.

  • Derlin gears or Z Drives are not permitted.

  • Standard Mardave, Kamtec or TIC axle can be used.

  • Ball races may only be used on the back axle.

  • Standard Plastic Mardave or TIC motor pod only, no Ally Pods.

  • Pod Braces are permitted.

 

WISHBONES, STEERING ARMS & KING PINS

  • Steering arms can be standard or may be modified to the ball and link type. 

  • Wishbones are to be standard, either Mardave or TIC and must be hollow.
    No alloy wishbones permitted.

  • No wishbone protectors or any other strengthening of wishbones.

  • Front springs must be fitted.

  • Only standard, hardened and stainless kingpins allowed.

  • No pipe to be fitted to kingpins. 

  • Strut braces are permitted.

  • No front bearings.

 

MOTORS

  • Any 20t or above motor permitted.

  • Heat sinks can be fitted.

  • Use of motor cleaning fluids and additives allowed.

 

WHEELS & TYRES

  • Must be foam tyres.

  • No tyre additives permitted. 

  • Any after-market wheel must be of the same diameter as per Mardave V12, 

  • No alloy wheels.

  • Kamtec, Contact Wheels, or TIC Bruno Wheels.

  • Ball raced front wheels are not permitted.

  • No bearing front wheels.

 

SHELLS

  • Any shell that was originally built as a 1300cc car are permitted.

 

RIDE HEIGHT

  • Ride Height is a Minimum of 3mm

 

BALLAST & WEIGHTS

  • Adding extra corner weights or ballast is not permitted.

 

BUMPERS

  • Bumpers must be fitted to the front and back of the chassis. The rear bumper can be a single rail, front must be a double.

 

SERVO SAVERS

  • Any type of servo saver permitted.

  • A small piece of ABS is allowed behind the servo saver as a servo saver protector.

  • ​

Racing Rules

  • Racing is in a clockwise direction.

  • 1300 Stock cars are full contact – However, no attacking stationary cars and no follow-ins are allowed.

  • You must remain racing in the correct direction at all times - No Oppo or waiting for drivers.  No passing under the bridge in the wrong direction.

  • No Sitting on the corners to stop other drivers.

  • No pinning other drivers in the fence.

  • Sandbagging is not permitted.

  • No marshalling, do not touch the cars once the race has started.

  • If you come out the track, no putting it back in.

  • Before the race, you must line up on the back straight in roof grade order.
