JAP BANGERS, 2L SALOONS & F2 STOCK CARS

Tonight saw the return of the Jap Bangers of all sizes, with Juniors fielding 13 drivers, and the Senior class fielding 27. In addition we had 14 2L Saloons and 12 F2 Stock Cars. The weather outside was extremely wet and windy, but inside the Cow Shed was the usual mixture of fun racing and hilarious banter, as is the norm here at Brentwood RC Raceway.

Always plenty of action in the Junior racing, and today was no exception! Congratulations to 414 Marc Zanders, winning two heats and finishing 4th in the final. The biggest cheer of the day went to 158 Katie Pullen, who'd had her phone confiscated by her parents, and was told if she won a race today she could have it back. Katie obliged by taking the chequered flag for heat two, leaving Mum and Dad having to eat humble pie and return her phone! Well done Katie!
Current points leader, 115 Sonny Holtom fared well with 2nd place in each heat and the final. But the biggest improvement today was 59 Caitlyn Howard; Caitlyn has slowly been improving over her last few meetings, and today managed 6th, 3rd, and 11th in the heats, then romped home in the final to take the chequered flag from 115 Sonny on splits! Great racing Caitlyn, congratulations, you did really well.
96 Charlie Sullivan enjoyed his first ever meeting, he fared well in the heats, but sadly missed the final. Hope to see you again soon Charlie.
Good action from all our Juniors today, well done you little ankle biters!
You can always guarantee the kids produce some great looking cars!

183 Shaye took the chequered flag in each round, and try as he might, 203 Jack just couldn't catch him and had to settle for 2nd place each round. It was good to see 258 Dave racing with us again after his recent spell in hospital, hopefully you won't be back in there again in the near future Dave, we missed you! It was also good to see 841 Chris back with again, always like to welcome drivers from other tracks! Some great racing from all involved, well done guys and gals!

A great win there for 76 Matthew, and a couple of great heat wins for 403 Daniel. 50 Ross ran as usual without a PT, but he's not worried about doing laps, he's only here for the crash, and he had plenty of those! Was good to 65 Alan making a return to the track, we don't see you here often enough Alan, 'Why So Serious?' Again great racing guys and gals!
An exciting ALL-IN Final provided plenty of action and much banter. Was good to see the battle between 183 Shaye and 555 Dan, all done with big smiles on their faces! And despite Dan's efforts, Shaye still made it across the finish line in 1st place, with 365 Sleepy snatching 2nd place from Dan on splits! Always good to see young and old alike having fun, after all, isn't that what playing with toy cars is all about? 203 Jack crossed the line to take 4th place, and 27 Jammy finished in 5th.
218 Richard was pleased to finish in 6th place, read his report by clicking the link below. Richard always does a great write-up after racing here at Brentwood, and it's good to read about the meeting from a driver's prospective. Well done Richard!

841 Chris finished in 7th place and 76 Matthew came home in 8th. Crossing the finish line to take 9th place was Mr. Race Control himself, 383 Divvy, and taking 10th place was 403 Daniel.

DD
To complete her great evening of racing, 59 Caitlyn Howard was the last car running in the DD, with 258 Dave Lungley being the last Senior.

Another great meeting of Bangers! Well done everyone!

Once again 183 Shaye dominates his heat! Although 22 John almost had him in round one! John was pleased with his performance with his new 2L Saloon, and is hoping to follow the leaders up the points charts! 29 Steve had nothing but problems with his Saloon, but hat's off to him for consistently trying, if it had been me, I'd have loaded up early!
Good fast racing boys, well done.

383 divvy had a good run with two heat wins, but problems in round two forced him to retire from the race early. 403 Daniel had problems with his 2L Saloon, and loaded it up after round one to concentrate on his banger for the evening. 217 Wayne made his debut at Brentwood in the 2L Saloons and even though he didn't quite get the results he was after, was happy to have taken part. That's what we like to hear!
Loving the hydrodipped look of 22 John's 2L, and the Willie Skoyles replica of 217 Wayne.

What the hell happened here? Shaye DIDN'T win a race? What, did he fall asleep? LOL, sorry Shaye, you know I'm only kidding!
Fair play to 375 Taylor, taking the first round on splits, and in round three, Taylor just missed out on another win on splits! This was an extremely fast heat, I found myself getting dizzy just trying to watch! Brilliant racing boys, keep it up!

Another fast heat, making me feel dizzy once again! A great win for 19 Tubbs, much to 383 Divvy's disgust as he thought he won all three! Having had problems with his F2 last meeting, it was good to see 58 Darren get some decent laps in, well done Darren, back on track eh? A great 2nd place for 65 Shaky in round three, great going Shaky! Good racing from you all.

Another fantastic run from 183 Shaye saw him cross the line with a 4 lap lead! 375 Taylor finished in 2nd place, with 383 Divvy having to settle for 3rd place. 44 laps gave 19 Tubbs 4th place, with 58 Darren coming home in 5th place and 186 Tom finishing in 6th. Another brilliant race guys, well done!
Some lovely looking F2's graced the Brentwood Oval!
Yet another great meeting comes to a close at the Cow Shed. Thank you to everyone who came and raced, thank you to everyone who helped out, especially Midge's Mum who ran the shop for the evening, with last minute notice, you did a grand job Mrs Alexander, and you make a grand cup of coffee! Thank you to everyone who provided the photos for the website, especially Richard, who game me permission to pinch his pics from his blog!
