DRIFTS SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP

Our increasingly popular Drifts formula finally has their own Championship here at Brentwood!

​

Mixed races were the order of the day, so the drivers got to race more opponents than usual, which always adds spice to the proceedings!

ROUND ONE

HEAT ONE - Ginge completed 27 laps to finish in 7th place and Divvy came home in 6th place with 31 laps.  Rocket finished 5th with 32 laps and Taylor-Jay made it home in 4th place with 33 laps.  Danny, Nathan and Jack all completed 35 laps to finish on splits, with Jack finishing 3rd, Nathan 2nd, and the chequered flag going to Danny.

HEAT TWO - Ross finished in 7th place with 24 laps, and 26 laps awarded Brian 6th place.  Josh came home in 5th place with 29 laps, and Chunky finished in 4th place with 32 laps.  Michael came home in 3rd place, having completed 33 laps.  Splits separated Dylan and Turbo at the top, with Dylan taking the chequered flag and Turbo 2nd place.

ROUND TWO

HEAT ONE - Brian completed 25 laps to take 7th place, with Chunky in 6th place, 4 laps ahead.  Turbo came home in 5th place having completed 30 laps, and 31 laps gave Taylor-Jay 4th place.  Dylan took 3rd place with 33 laps, just missing out to Danny in 2nd on splits, and the chequered flag was waved for Nathan with 35 laps.

HEAT TWO - Michael finished 7th this time with 24 laps, and Ross managed 26 laps to take 6th place.  Ginge came home in 5th place with 32 laps, and Josh finished 4th with 33 laps.  Divvy completed 34 laps to finish in 3rd place, and splits put Rocket in 2nd place, just losing out to race winner Jack, both with 35 laps.

ROUND THREE

HEAT ONE - Ross completed just 12 laps before retiring from the race, whilst Taylor managed 17 laps to take 6th place.  Ginge came home in 5th place with 28 laps, and Rocket completed 32 laps to finish in 4th place.  Chunky and Danny both completed 34 laps, with Chunky taking 3rd place and Danny taking 2nd.  Michael complete all 35 laps and so took the win and the chequered flag.

HEAT TWO - Brian came home in 7th place with 26 laps, and Divvy took 6th place with 31 laps.  Josh and Jack battled for 4th place, with Jack just having the edge on Josh, so Josh had to settle for 5th place and Jack finished 4th, both with 32 laps.  Turbo finished in 3rd place with 34 laps, whilst Dylan chased hard to catch Nathan, both finishing on 35 laps, Dylan taking 2nd place, Nathan taking the win.

B FINAL - Unfortunately Ross was unable to make it to the track, and so missed out on his last race of the evening.  Divvy completed just 9 laps and had to settle for 5th place.  24 laps gave Taylor-Jay 4th place, and Brian finished in 3rd place with 3rd place.  Ginge completed 58 laps to take 2nd place, and with 40 laps, Josh took the B Final win.

​

A FINAL - Chunky, hoping for a much better result, completed 16 laps to finish in 8th place.  Both Jack and Turbo completed 35 laps, with Jack taking 7th place and Turbo taking 6th place.  Rocket came home in 5th place with 36 laps, and Michael finished with 36 laps to take 4th place.  Danny completed 38 laps to take 3rd place, Dylan came home in 2nd place with 39 laps, but completing the full 40 laps, taking the chequered flag and the title of SUPREME CHAMPION was Nathan Webb!

ROUND ONE

HEAT ONE - Sleepy managed to avoid all the carnage and slipped his way through to the front of the pack, taking the win and the chequered flag.  Divvy was just one lap behind to take 2nd place, and Josh won the battle with Brad to take 3rd place on 33 laps.  Jack came home in 5th place with 31 laps, and Chris finished in 6th place with 26 laps.  25 laps gave Taylor-Jay 7th place and finishing in 8th place with 24 laps was Sonny.  Sean came home in 9th with 17 laps and finishing 10th was Bill with 15 laps.

HEAT TWO - Rob  flew through the pack to take the chequered flag, 5 laps ahead of the field!  Michael battled with Dylan before taking 2nd place, Dylan 3rd, both on 30 laps.  Craig came home in 4th place with 29 laps, and Dave finished 5th with 27 laps.  Ian fought with Ginge for 6th place, both finishing with 25 laps, Ian in 6th, Ginge in 7th.  Sam finished in 8th place and Jay finished in 9th, both with 21 laps, and Joe came home in 10th place with 20 laps.

ROUND TWO

HEAT ONE - Time for one of our Juniors to take the chequered flag, this time Taylor-Jay made it 1st across the finish line, Brad following just one lap behind.  Michael came home in 3rd place with 33 laps, and also on 33 laps was Chris, who took 4th place.  In 5th place was Ian on 30 laps, with Joe finishing with 30 laps too, and taking 6th place.  Divvy came home in 7th place with 29 laps, and also with 29 laps was Sonny, taking 8th place.  Finishing in 9th place was Robert with 27 laps, and Jay took 10th place with 26 laps.

HEAT TWO - A clear win for Karl this time, 2 laps clear of 2nd place man Josh, who'd just beaten Rob onto 3rd on splits.  Craig had another 4th place finish, this time with 31 laps, and in 5th place was Dave with 29 laps.  Tom finished in 6th place with 28 laps, coming home in 7th place was Ginge with 26 laps.  Dylan also finished with 26 laps to take 8th place, Sam completed 24 laps to finish in 9th place and 10th was Jack with 23 laps.

ROUND THREE

HEAT ONE - The first three drivers across the line were close, all finishing on splits with Brad taking the win, Craig coming home in 2nd place and Chris 3rd.  Finishing 4th with 32 laps was Josh and in 5th place was Joe with 27 laps.  Sam finished 6th with 26 laps, Jack came home in 7th place with 24 laps, Sonny also crossed the line with 24 laps to take 8th place.  Coming home in 9th place was Jay with 22 laps, and in 10th place was Tubbs with 20 laps.

HEAT TWO - Another resounding win for Rob with a3 lap lead over Divvy in 2nd place.  Both Dave and Karl finished with 31 laps, Dave taking 3rd place and Karl finishing in 4th place.  Michael came home in 5th place, with Tom finishing 6th with 26 laps.  Finishing 7th with 24 laps was Taylor-Jay, Robert finished 8th with 22 laps, Ian came home with 21 laps to finish in 9th place, and 10th place went to Ginge with 19 laps.

​

ALL IN FINAL

An all-in final saw 28 drivers make it to the track, with Bill, Ross, and Michael G completing just 4 laps!  Simon managed 1 more lap to finish in 25th place and Ian finished 24th with 7 laps.  Midge managed 9 laps, taking 23rd place, with Tubbs finishing 22nd with 12 laps.  21st place went to Ginge with 13 laps, Jay finished 20th with 17 laps, and coming home in 19th place with 19 laps was Jack.  Daniel also managed 19 laps and finished in 18th place, with Sonny completing 21 laps to take 17th place.  16th place went to Robert with 22 laps, and Chris came home in 15th with 25 laps.  Also with 25 laps, Craig finished in 14th place, while Sam and Divvy finished with 27 laps, Sam in 13th place and Divvy in 12th.  Michael C and Joe both finished with 29 laps, with Joe taking 11th place and Michael 10th.  Tom just beat Taylor-Jay across the line to take 8th place, both on 30 laps, and Rob finished with 34 laps and 7th place.  Coming home with 36 laps to claim 6th place was Dylan, with Brad just beating Sleepy to 4th place with 37 laps.  Karl finished in 3rd place with 39 laps, and with 40 laps, Dave was just in front of Josh to claim his first ever A Final win!  Congratulations Dave, a great achievement!

RELIANT ROBINS

50 Ross Mason, 55 Barry Mason, 77 Josh Mackey, 257 Paul Workman, 383 Divvy, and 551 Michael Collins.

​

ROUND ONE - Barry completed 18 laps and finished in 6th place, with Ross finishing in 5th place with 23 laps.  Josh came home in 4th place with 20 laps, and 30 laps each saw Paul finish 3rd, Divvy 2nd and Michael take the win.

ROUND TWO - Paul finished in 6th place this time, having completed just 7 laps, while Barry managed 17 laps to take 5th place.  Ross came home in 4th place with 26 laps, with Divvy finishing in 3rd place with 27 laps.  Josh completed 28 laps to finish 2nd and once again Michael took the chequered flag.

ROUND THREE - Barry finished in 6th place, this time with 22 laps, and 24 laps saw Ross take 5th place.  Both Divvy and Josh finished with 27 laps, Divvy just having the edge over Josh and taking the 3rd place slot.  Michael and Paul battled for the win, with Michael skimming through by the skin of his teeth to complete the hat-trick and raise the chequered flag once again.

​

ALL-IN FINAL

Barry completed 18 laps to finish in 6th place, with Ross finishing 5th with 29 laps.  Divvy came home in 4th place with 32 laps, and Paul completed 34 laps to take 3rd place.  Josh and Michael battled for the win, with Michael desperate to complete a full-house, however, Josh just got the better of him and crossed the line in 1st place!  Well-done Josh, pulling it of the hat when it matters most!

​
