ROUND ONE
A great start to this evenings Banger racing, with battles ensuing from the start. Kerry bought along his extra long Mk 2 Granada Hearse, and soon became the target of some epic wrecking, with most drivers having a go at parking their car inside it! Many tried, but only one succeeded, youngster Jake Flynn, having his first ever go at RC racing managed to park right inside, totally unable to then get back out! Well done Jake, what a great way to start your RC career!
As well as all the wrecking taking place, there was some great racing too, picking their way through the carnage with skill and determination. First across the line was Daz, two laps ahead of Brick, with Bellend coming home in 3rd place. Well done boys, wasn't easy!

ROUND TWO
Again, with no points to race for, the wrecking continued in epic style. But there's no stopping a man who wants to win; Daz was first across the line once more, with Joe taking 2nd place and Dave coming home in 3rd.

ROUND THREE
For the third time this evening, the wrecking was rife! Just looking at the pictures of the wreckage only endorses this! Daz completed his hat-trick by crossing the finish line in 1st place once again, with Dylan coming home in 2nd place and 3rd going to Jess. Great efforts all round. Poor Craig had a lot of repair work to do!

A FINAL
The A Final was a similar affair to the heats with loads of hard hitting taking place. The carnage was excessive, and made it difficult for the racers to get through. Daz was aiming for a full house, and almost made it, but Brick chased hard and just managed to cross the line in 1st place, pushing Daz down into 2nd place! Brad came home in 3rd place, with Jess taking 4th and Joe finishing in 5th.

DD
To finish off the evening with a crash, most drivers entered the DD, which was it's usual crashtastic event! Bailey managed to keep running and so became the last Junior winner of 2016; with Carl Maslen winning for the seniors; great stuff guys, well-done! There was even a special award for Brad Dillworth's little son, who joined the DD with Dad's car!

END OF YEAR TROPHY PRESENTATION
It's been a busy first season in the points chart. We had some that came down to the final meeting, and some that had runaway leaders. We had some that just plodded through each meeting and quietly topped up their points, whilst others rodded through the season to keep themselves in the running. Whatever their style, the first full season at Brentwood has been an eventful one!

Also out tonight, just for fun, were the 1300 Stock Cars. Eleven drivers entered the track, and all put on a good show as always. Three straight heat wins gave Daz his 2nd hat-trick of the evening, and a couple of 2nd places put a big smile on Michael's face! Dan claimed a 2nd place too. 3rd placing went to Craig, Joe and Paul, and 4th placings went to Joe, Dave, and Scott.

In the final, Daz came across the finish line in 1st place so complete a full house! Joe was 2nd, a lap behind, and with 48 laps, 3rd place went to Michael. Paul finished in 4th place and Scott finished 5th, on splits, with Dave claiming 6th place and Brian coming home in 7th. Jon took 8th place, with Divvy finishing 9th. Due to having to leave early Craig and Dan missed the final.

And so we conclude a highly successful 1st season at Brentwood RC Raceway. We've created some great memories, met some great new people, made some lovely new friends, and thoroughly enjoyed the ride! Thank you to everyone who has supported the club this year, whether it be helping to organize, attending to race, or encouraging other to join us, whatever you've done, we are all eternally grateful. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a very Happy New Year. See you all in 2017!
